Marie Luchet appointed Head of ESG & Sustainability at AXA IM Prime


AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has today announced the appointment of Marie Luchet as Head of ESG and Sustainability at AXA IM Prime, effective 16 May 2023.

Based in Paris, she will report to Pascal Christory, Chief Executive Officer of AXA IM Prime.

As part of AXA IM’s sustainability journey, Marie Luchet will be responsible for overseeing AXA IM Prime’s sustainability strategy including the advancement of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) integration in investment decision making, funds and asset managers selection, as well as in the reporting and product design. 

Commenting on the appointment, Pascal Christory said: “We are delighted to welcome Marie, who will steer AXA IM Prime’s developments on ESG in line with AXA IM and AXA Group’s sustainability roadmaps. Marie brings more than two decades of experience in Sustainable Finance and Corporate Social Responsibility, and she will be instrumental in continuing to develop our sustainability strategy, as well as championing ESG across the business as it is a pivotal lever for AXA IM Prime’s value generation and innovation for the benefit of our clients”.


Biography

Marie Luchet

Prior to joining AXA IM Prime, Marie Luchet was heading up the ESG strategy for Europe and UK for ACA Group since 2022, the risk and compliance consultancy for financial services, advising private markets investors from the US, UK and Europe on their ESG strategy and on their regulatory and reporting requirements.

Previously, she worked at the Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI) between 2016 and 2022, first as Head of France and Southern Europe in the Investor Relations team from 2016 to 2019 and then as Director of Continental Europe. Marie also served as Head of Responsible Investment with ECOFI Investissements from 2010 to 2016 and as ESG sell-side analyst with CIC Market Solutions from 2006 to 2008. She started her career in 2001 at PSA Peugeot Citroen as Environmental law counsel before becoming Sustainability officer.

Marie holds a Master of Sciences in Environment from the University of Kent (UK) and a DEA in Environmental law from the University Paris – Panthéon Sorbonne.
